How many pairs to bring

Pack one main pair and one spare. A second pair costs little at $30, and it covers loss, breakage or a different outfit. Bundles make this easier: two pairs are $52 and three are $72.

Protecting them in a bag

Use a hard or padded case for rimless frames, because the lens edge is exposed. Keep a microfibre cloth in the same pocket and avoid leaving glasses on a car dashboard or in a hot glovebox, where heat can warp frames.
